Job Description General Summary: At Vertex, we’re relentless in our pursuit of scientific innovation to create transformative medicines for people with serious diseases. We are currently seeking a Gene Therapy Account Manager (GTAM) to support our Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia (TDT) Heme Business Unit. This role is responsible for the Southeast territory which includes FL, GA and AL As part of a national team, the Gene Therapy Account Manager, Associate Director (GTAM) will approach each day with a passion for improving the lives of people living with Sickle Cell Disease and Transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia. This role is focused on Key Account Management (65%) and Access/Reimbursement (35%) as a customer centric, results-driven individual contributor that supports operational readiness and access for the safe and effective use of Casgevy to medical providers per assigned coverage plans. The GTAM serves as a single point of contact for covering Activated Treatment Centers (ATC) and manages those accounts. This role serves as a team player and problem solver. The GTAM proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, takes ownership of driving toward solutions, progress and positive change.
